Rallying from a sixteen-point hole in the fourth quarter, the Seattle squad emerged victorious by a single point at home, notching their fifth straight win.

While the Los Angeles had become the first to earn a playoff spot earlier on game day, the Seahawks booked their return to the play-offs after a two-year absence.

With this result, the Seattle now lead their division's race with a 12-3 mark, supplanting the Rams, who dropped to the fifth seed with an 11-4 record.

Quarterback Sam Darnold threw two picks but recovered to make two touchdown passes, including the tying score to wideout Smith-Njigba in the extra period.

The Rams held a 13-7 lead at half-time before Kenneth Walker III burst through for a long scoring dash for the home side.

Los Angeles cornerback Josh Wallace then took back Darnold's initial pick for a big return, leading to a one-yard touchdown by Corum on the next play.

In the fourth quarter, a scoring pass from Matthew Stafford to Nacua pushed the advantage to 30-14, but Rashid Shaheed provided the comeback with a 58-yard punt return.

Darnold then found AJ Barner in the endzone, and a converted two-point play forced the game into overtime.
